wife of TDRL soldier desperatly in need of a Christmas miracle

I am a wife of a temporarily medically retired soldier. My husband started having seizures while in the army.Things are really tough and we barely have enough to survive every month. We just took on the full responsibility of our 9 month old grandaughter and she came to us with nothing. It hurts my husband to know that physically he cant financially take care of us the same way as he did while in the Army.I have my own health issues that keep me from working.I recieve ssi so needless to say that doesnt go very far.My kids are the most understanding and patient kids in the world. It breaks my heart knowing that we cant provide there wants but it kills me inside knowing there needs cant always be met now either. Our electricity was off for almost 3 weeks and my kids tried to make me feel better by telling me it was kinda cool because it was kinda like camping..My family is my world and I cry almost everynight because there are no words that can be spoken to make my husband feel better and I know that if a miracle doesnt happen this will be the second year my kids will not have Christmas. This is my granddaughters first christmas.I guess the reason I am posting this is because I am looking for a miracle. If there is anyone that can help I promise we will appreciate it and your gift will be payed forward once we get ahead again.

The motorcycle is gone but I still owe more than I can handle

Okay I got the Dealer to buy my motorcycle but I owe still more on it and I have so many other bills from my cheating ex-wife that I am not sure what to do.  I guess that the wealthy people in the country only donate money to "fashonable" causes.  A soldier serving his country, protecting those people and their country and being shafted by a cheating wife while he is getting shot at and blown up....kinda makes me wonder what so many of us are out here protecting.  What so many have been injuried or killed for.  Kind of makes me sick.

All out of ideas

Well, here goes.  I have never done anything like this before and am not sure how it works but hell, lets give it a shot.  I am a 27 year old veteran of the Iraq/Afghanistan wars (simply put)  I believe i am a victim of identity theft and have already taken the proper measures to catch it.  The problem is this possibly may have happened while i was over seas and have no proof of anything i am horrible at keeping track of anything like that i lose everything lol i have Post Traumatic Stress Disorder (commonly known as PTSD) so its hard for me to function.  I believe i am in a gray zone when it comes to getting financial help from any company do to not owing scrupulous amounts in credit card debt i have a lot of back bills to [pay and cannot get a loan to do so i make over 50,000 a year and just need a jump start to getting out of this the wife n kids are depending on a broken soldier anyone got any ideas? im tapped out.  I have tried everything to get my family out of this Please anything you have for infor or anything will help  My brain hurts.

I am looking for assistance witht christmas this year. I am a single mother who has faught hard for years to support my family alone. Well the last year and a half has been hard on us. Started June 19th 2007. We had major fire in my apartment leaving me and my youngest homeless for months. Well exactly 2 weeks to the day that I had my fire my exhusband (the father of my children) died. Well lots of hard work some times I would work 16 olus hours a day 8 on job rest on apartment so we could get back in. I know my own fault for no insurance. But when sole provider on limited income you can only spend what you have. Well in September 16th 2008 my 17 year old daughters friend had a major fire 3 of her 8 children  in the family parished in the fire and they lost everything. My daughter and I went on mission to help family. I ended up injuring myself this summer I tore a claf muscle so have not been able to work when I got back to work rehurt it and now workmans comp doesn't want to pay. Well the final blow and the one I can't get passed is my only son was Hit and killed by a car while directing trafic on an army base. Hence I went further into dept by buying frequent flyer miles from brother hoping to see my son alive. He died right before I got on plane.

About psargent

I'm a 34yr old dad and Army National Guard Combat Medic that's going through a divorce and has fallen on some hard times.  I'm trying like hell to pay the legal fees associated with divorce, child support and still make ends meet when it comes time for paying utilities and rent.  The truth of the matter is that until the divorce is finished I just don't have enough to pay for living expenses.  I have no family to turn to and no credit options available to me due to the divorce.  I'm getting further and further behind on rent and soon utilities will be disconnected.  I'm hoping someone could offer me some help, advice or at the very least a prayer.  It would take me about $1800 to get caught back up which isn't a lot, but when your behind it's a matter of money or eviction.  The divorce will be done in July but by that time I'll be so far behind there will be no chance of catching up and will be out of a place to live.  I work full time for the government and have my own computer business which is not profitable at the present time. You can certainly look me up on my website to get a feel for who I am.  www.cybersouthern.com  If anyone can offer help or even offer a person to person loan I'd appreciate it.

Hello my husband/hero Kelly is serving his 2nd tour in Iraq. Our 3 kids and I live in Germany, waiting for him to come home. He has been in the Army for over 5 years and is a very good soldier. Our sacrifices for our country are made with lots of pride. He loves Harley Davidsons and it has been his lifelong dream to build a custom one. There is no way for us to afford this on our own. I wanted to see if anyone wants to show support for a brave, deserving, dedicated soldier by donating money for parts or donating parts for him to build it. He is supposed to come home Oct/Nov 08. Thank you from the bottom of my heart for anything you can do!

Feel free to participate in this public group space.

Two easy ways to do this:

  1. Add a comment or a question here - on this page... or on any other page in this space.
  2. Or, if you want to start a separate thread - make a new page.

Either way is good - the important thing is your participation. On Aidpage, people support each other by speaking out and by paying attention to each other - as simple as that.

About soldierforlife

I am a recently Honorable discharged united States Army Soldier that retired. A Iraqi Freedom Veteran. I just purchased a home and would like to pay the home off. I need some help doing this. I did save some money before I retired, all the money went into making this house into a home. The house was a rehab. At the time I purchased it, I was in dying need of a place to live once I was discharged. The house was still in needs of repairs, they just covered up the bad areas to make them look repaired. I spent every penny saved doing repairs. I am going through PTSD and not afraid to admit to it. I would be greatful if I could have my home paid off.  I loved and still love the military. If I could have stayed in, I would have. I have no regrets serving my country and would serve again, if there is a shortage of Soldiers,Sailors, Airmans and Marines to defend my country today.

Soldier's Family in Need of Help

Hello All,
Goodness, I'm not sure where to start. I'm a soldier in the Army, a father of six, (four girls two boys), a husband of one and a servant to many. I have been deployed to Afghanistan and Iraq. While in Iraq I hurt my back. Nothing heroic, just over use. I'm a carpenter and mason, but can no longer work in this area because of my back problems. I was getting out on a medical discharge, but, (I'm ashamed to admit), got into a little bit of trouble. My son was diagnosed with cancer two years ago when he was two months old. He lost 85% of his liver, and had so many complications due to his surgeries I can barely retell because of the emotional pain. Well, I had a hard time dealing with it all and started using alcohol as a coping mechanism. He is getting better now, as am I, (though he still eats through a tube in his stomach). However, it took getting in trouble at work to get me to admit my problems. Because of that I was reduced in rank and am making $745 less now than I was last month. They may take away my disability benifits, but I'll cross that bridge later.
I need to get rid of my suburban before I get into trouble for non-payment. I have an old V.W. bus I am restoring that will accommodate our needs, but no funds to fix it up.
There is alot more that this puts us in need of. My oldest daughter needs new cloaths, they all need dental work, and I wish I could give them all just a few of their wants, but I'm strugleing just to fill their needs. I'm ashamed to do so, but it looks like I'll have to go on food stamps just to feed my family. Any help, even ten bucks for a little gas, would be gratefully received. Thank you

I’m a father of six wonderful children. Recently I have fallen on hard times. I hurt my back in the war, and when I came home they told me I couldn’t stay in because of my injuries. I had hoped they would re-train me, but because I can no longer fight I’m of no use to them. In addition, my youngest son was diagnosed with cancer and lost 85% of his liver. He’s getting better, but I continued to be emotionaly devistated for a while. During his illness and surgeries, and because of my deployments, I began to use alcohol to deal with the pain, both emotional and physical. I lost sight of what was important for a while. I got into some trouble and was reduced in rank, loosing $745.00 a month. Now they are trying to take away my disability benefits as well. I need to secure a cheaper mode of transportation before my vehicle gets repossessed. I have a VW bus I was restoring that would suffice, but I don’t have the means to fix it up now. If anybody out there could do anything to help at all, it would be greatly appreciated.
